Today, the official of Oppo has announced on Weibo that all Reno 3 built-in 5G integrated chips will support SA / NSA dual-mode 5G networks. In addition, the official renderings of the Reno 3 series also officially appeared in a Video. Besides, the Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro reservations page has also been launched, which reveals more details of these two phones.
In terms of 5G chipsets, the Oppo Reno 3 will be powered by a MediaTek 5G chipset. It could be powered by the yet to be announced MT6885 chipset and its thickness is 7.96mm. While the Reno 3 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm 5G chip Snapdragon 765G which also powers the Redmi K30 Pro 5G and it is sports a slim profile of 7.7mm and it weighs 171 grams.
In addition, according to the reservations page, The frontside of Reno 3 Pro is fitted with a punch-hole display that curves towards the edges. On the other side, a small image of the Reno 3 shows the phone sporting a waterdrop notch on its display and a vertical quad-camera setup on its back. Its LED flash is placed outside the quad-camera system.
Some recent reports have claimed that the PCPM00 that was recently approved by TENAA could be the Reno 3 smartphone. However, the TENAA listing states that the PCPM00 is not a 5G phone. Probably, there could be a 5G variant of the same phone. There is a possibility that the PCPM00 phone could be a non-Reno series phone. It is advisable to wait for further reports to confirm its true identity.
