A few days ago, the Chinese certification body TENAA unveiled the specifications of smartphones with model numbers PCKM00 and PCKT00 on its website. And according to reports around these models, it would be Oppo Reno 2 which is today appeared in the telecom Tianyi product library.
According to Tianyi product library information, the Reno 2 is the highest specs device and it looks similar to the first-gen Reno series. It has a 6.5″ Full HD+ AMOLED display that has an in-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on an upper-midrange Snapdragon 730G processor with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage. Besides, the phone appears to have the dimensions of 160×74.3×9.5mm and weighs 189 grams.
Like the current Reno, it has a wedged-shaped pop-up selfie module that houses a 16MP front camera. At the rear, it features a familiar 48MP f/1.7 SONY IMX586 camera with OIS and a 13MP f/2.4 telephoto camera that offers 2X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom. If you want to push it further, the Reno 2 can go up to 20x zoom in digital. In addition, the device also has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle and a 2MP mono lens for portrait mode.
The camera also comes with a low-light mode that’s called Ultra Dark Mode. For steady videos, it also boasts an Ultra Steady Mode which uses a combination of OIS and EIS. Keeping the lights on is a 3915mAh battery that supports VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 via USB-C. Interestingly, it also gets a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Reno 2 will be launched on September 10 and the event will take place at 10:00 AM in Shanghai China.
