In recent weeks there have been various teasers and leaks to the Oppo R17 and now it is official. The website at Oppo is online and provides us with the details. The design with the little Notch was known and now we also know that the fingerprint sensor equipped under the display. This is protected as expected with Gorilla Glass 6.
The Oppo R17 has now been officially launched, however, the final details of the equipment will be presented later in the week. And also an Oppo R17 Pro should be there. Where I ask myself what is still to come with the Pro.
The Oppo R17 is equipped with a 6.4 “FullHD + display with 2,280 x 1,080 pixel resolution in 19: 9 format. The display covers 91.5 percent of the front. Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Octa-Core processor along with Adreno 615 GPU, which will be supported by 8GB of RAM. The internal memory is 128GB.
On the back of a dual camera is installed, with one of the sensors with 16MP dissolves. The resolution of the other sensor is unknown. On the front is a 25MP camera with aperture f / 2.0, AI and Sony IMX576 sensor installed. The battery has a capacity of 3500 mAh and supports the VOOC fast charging technology.
The fingerprint sensor installs OPPO directly in the display, which means that this technology is now already in the middle class at the Chinese manufacturer feeder collection. The other key data of the OPPO 17: Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 5, GPS + Glonass, USB Type C port and ColorOS 5.2 (based on Android 8.1 Oreo) as Operating system.
The Oppo R17 is due to be sold on the 18th of August, so the final details will follow this week. The OPPO R17 Plus should also be presented shortly. In particular, the Pro model could be interesting, the smartphone even a triple camera, 10GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is said. It is quite possible that exactly these specs can be expected on the OnePlus 6T.
The Oppo R17 will be in Twilight Blue and Starry Purple and yes, I think Oppo got some inspiration from Huawei / Honor here. Whereby the version in Lila reminds of the Find X. Color gradients in smartphones are certainly a trend that could accompany us for a while. I think Huawei will continue here.
