The OPPO R15X is official and to be honest, there is not much to excite. Except for the new ice gradient color that looks very pretty and the storage larger, this is the OPPO K1 that was released a few weeks ago with a new name. The OPPO R15X did not get the release with its own event but is already present in the official website. It will go on sale on November 1 for ¥2499 ($360).
This price will deliver to those who buy the phone, an FHD + screen of 6.4 inches with a waterdrop notch and a 91% ratio between screen and body. The screen is AMOLED, protected with Gorilla Glass 5 and has a fingerprint scanner underneath. There is also a 25MP AI camera with many features, placed inside the notch.
The OPPO R15X is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The back of the phone is covered in 3D glass with double chambers in the upper left corner. The OPPO does not indicate camera specifications, but as we know that this is the K1, the cameras should consist of a 16MP f / 1.7 sensor and a 2MP f / 2.4 depth sensor. There are various features, such as scene recognition, portrait mode, and time-lapse photography.
The OPPO R15X runs its own user interface, ColorOS 5.2 based on Android Oreo from the factory. It has a game mode, supports secure payments and a smart assistant who learns their usage habits. The phone comes in two color variants – Nebula and Ice and will be shipped with a free Bluetooth OPPO M11 speaker, a pair of wired headphones and a TPU cover. Which makes an interesting offer given its price.
