When we buy a phone, we must consider its battery life and quick charge experience, in China, OPPO, Oneplus have done well in this aspect, but Xiaomi and Meizu recently have also improved better in quick charge. Right now we will choose the top four smartphones in China, OPPO R11 , Oneplus 5, Xiaomi MI6 and Meizu Pro 7 to compare their quick charge. Let’s see the result. Of course, you can also see Oneplus 5 VS Xiaomi MI6 VS Samsung Galaxy S8+ VS Nubia Z17 Battery, Quick Charge Review from igeekphone before.
OPPO 11 has 3,000mAh battery, supporting VOOC flash charge, 5V/4A, 20W power rate.
Oneplus 5 has 3300mAh battery, supporting Dash quick charge, 5V/4A, 20W.
Xiaomi MI6 has 3350mAh battery supporting quick charge 3.0, supporting 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 12V/1.5A, 18W.
Meizu Pro 7 has 3000mAh battery, supporting mCharge 3.0, 5V/3A, 8V/3A, 12V/2A, 24W.
From the image, we can see this four smartphones charging fast in the first period, when charging 30 minutes, OPPO R11 can charge 58%, Oneplus 5 54%, Xiaomi MI6 39% and Meizu Pro 7 52%.
According to test result, OPPO R11 and Meizu Pro 7 takes 87 minutes to charge full , but Xiaomi MI6 takes 102 minutes, and Oneplus 5 91 minutes.
Note: They all do quick charge test under off screen from 0% to 100 % power.
Therefore, Xiaomi MI6 takes longest time to charge full ,although it has largest battery capacity in four smartphones.
In order to keep the test fair, we adopt the data of charging speed in average and re-rank.
Battery capacity (mAh)+charging time(Mini) =Charging speed (mAh/mini),
Oneplus 5 gets the top 1 rank, it has 36.26mAh/min charging speed in average.
OPPO 11 and Meizu Pro 7 have same charging speed, 34.48mAh/min
Xiaomi MI6 still enjoys the last rank, 32.84mAh/min charging speed in average.
Why is Xiaomi MI6 charge speed so slow? And why do OPPO R11 and Meizu Pro 7 have same charging speed in average?
Because OPPO R11 and Meizu PRO 7 both run about 8 minutes under 16.5W high charging power rate, and then slow down charge power rate gradually, when they reach 42 minutes, their charge rate suddenly skip to 10.3W, and then the charge power rate continues to slow down until charging full.
But Meizu Pro 7 before 40 minutes, has changed between 17.5W power rate and 8.8W, and then gradually slow down to about 9.8W, stable in this range, until 54 minutes, the power charging rate decreases again until charging full.
The performance of Xiaomi MI6 is more stable, after charging, the power rate of charging will reach about 15.2W, in 5 minutes, it decreases to 13.7W, stable in this range, continuing 13 minutes, the power rate decreases to 9.3W, stable in this range, in 75 minutes, decreasing until it charges full. See more review from igeekphone.
In general, four smartphones actual power rate don’t reach the power rate that official mark, after all the real test is different from theory.
In this test, due to charging to cause heat issue which will be normal issue. In heat control, Meizu Pro 7 with Helio processor has obvious heat issue, even hot for hands. Other three smartphones have nice control in heat issue, although OPPO R11 and Xiaomi MI6 will bring a little heat, Oneplus 5 behaves best.
