The first-generation Find X of Oppo was a UFO in the smartphone market. The brand had marked the spirits by being the first to launch a mobile almost completely borderless through a sliding mechanism housing the photosensors. It was also the first Android smartphone to offer 3D facial recognition. Unfortunately, its exorbitant price has been a serious obstacle to its adoption.
The smartphone was not renewed in 2019, Oppo having preferred to focus on the Reno range, two generations of which have already been launched since the Find X, pending the Oppo Reno 3 and 3 Pro to be presented on December 26. If you thought the Find X range was buried, you were wrong.
Today, the brand confirmed the arrival of the Oppo Find X2 in early 2020. We already know that it will be equipped with the SoC Snapdragon 865 and will be compatible with 5G thanks to the X55 modem. The manufacturer also claims to be working with Sony to integrate its latest “2 × 2 On-Chip Lens” photosensor technology that improves light sensitivity but also has faster and more accurate autofocus.
Finally, Oppo has confirmed that it places special emphasis on the display quality of Find X2. The screen will have better resolution, better refresh rate, improved colors, and dynamic range. The smartphone promises once again premium features. Nothing has yet filtered out as to its design and it is hoped that Oppo will not make the same mistake regarding its pricing.
