Today, Oppo has announced the imminent launch of a new technology that directly affects the photographic sector of its devices. The announcement came during Future Technology Communication Conference 2019, where the Chinese company announced the launch of its new 10x lossless zoom that will be officially presented at Mobile World Congress 2019, staged in just over a month.
During the conference, a spokesman for Oppo wanted to specify how the new technology, in the process of being launched, is necessary to meet the needs of the market and therefore satisfy a much wider user base. To make possible the implementation of the 10x lossless zoom, Oppo has decided to develop a solution that combines an ultra wide-angle lens with the UltraClean Master and a telephoto lens, essentially a triple camera that can support this new feature.
The ultra wide-angle lens with a focal length of 15.9 mm ensures high quality, also thanks to the telephoto lens to ensure long-distance shots able to capture sharp and detailed details. The three sensors work simultaneously to return a high-quality experience and the action is made possible thanks to the installation of two optical stabilizers positioned on the standard camera and the two telephoto lenses with a design that winks at the common periscope.
The resistance of the photographic module is guaranteed by the drop tests carried out: the first has tested 10,000 times the front and back of the lens, while the second has tested the resistance for over 2,000 times on the remaining four sides, thus reaching a total of 28,000 global points in the drop test.
But the news does not end here because Oppo has also announced a new system of recognition of the fingerprint based on a wider area. You can then unlock your smartphone by touching the entire designated area of the front surface. The sensor located below the screen will allow a free and flexible experience with functions that integrate different two-finger gestures to increase overall security, even in view of payments.
At the same time as the establishment of the emerging mobile terminal business unit, Oppo’s flagship codenamed “Poseidon” is also exposed online, which is a new flagship Smartphone that Oppo will release in 2019. “Poseidon” is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 cores processor, 1.79GHz. Geekbench’ single core points are 3810 and the multi-core score is 10963.
From the geekbench points, it seems that this processor is undoubtedly the upcoming processor of Qualcomm – Snapdragon 855 which is based on a 7nm process, a three-cluster eight-core architecture, a CPU clocked at a maximum of 2.84GHz and supports a 5G baseband. It is also the first commercial platform to support Multi-Gigabit 5G connectivity with the Snapdragon X50 5G Modem. We await further details, not long for the next MWC.
