After launching its first full-screen smartphone with an 18: 9 aspect ratio, the Oppo F5, the company has been encouraged again and launched another smartphone in China, which they named Oppo A79, a mid-range smartphone.
The Oppo A79 comes with a 6-inch FullView AMOLED screen that has an aspect ratio of 18: 9, with a screen resolution of 2180 x 1080 pixels. The screen is almost bezel-less on the side edges and has slim bezels on the top and bottom. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor, located on the back, just above the brand logo. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core 2.5 GHz processor, along with 4 GB of Ram. It has an internal storage capacity of 64 GB that can be further expanded up to 128 GB with a microSD card.
From the specifications of the camera, the smartphone comes with a 16MP rear camera with an aperture of f / 1.8 and a 5P lens. On the front, the device features a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of f / 2.0 and a 5P lens and the front camera of the device also supports the facial recognition function.
On the software front, it works with the Color OS 3.2 operating system based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on the company. The connectivity options on the device include dual SIM, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C and GPS slots. The phone is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which is also compatible with the company’s own rapid VOOC charging technology, which ensures that the device charges quickly.

The Oppo A79 is priced at 2,399 yuan in China, which is approximately ($ 360). It will go on sale on 1st December in two color options: Champagne and black. The phone is currently available for orders in China through the company’s official website. There is no information available on the availability of the phone in other markets.
