Oppo has launched the Oppo A1 discreetly in China. It is an entry-level phone that is packed with some decent specs. The sales of the smartphone will be starting from next month.
The Oppo A1 features a metallic body and it comes in three colors like Dark Blue, Cherry Red and White. The blue and red variants have matte finish whereas the white model has a glossy appeal.
The Oppo A1 includes a 5.7-inch display that produces HD+ resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels as it carries support for an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display is tucked under a layer of 2.5D curved glass.
There is no information available on the processor that powers the smartphone. The SoC is supported by 4 GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 64 GB. For more storage, users can add a microSD card to the phone.
It has a rear-facing camera of 13-megapixel. With interpolation, it allows users to snap photos of up to 50-megapixel. It has a frontal camera of 8-megapixl. The exact version of the Android OS that is available on the phone is not known.
For some reason better known to the manufacturer, the fingerprint scanner is not available on the Oppo A1. Instead, it comes with a Face Unlock which is no way close to fingerprint scanner when it comes to security.
The Oppo A1 will go on sale starting from April with a price tag of 1,399 Yuan (~$219). As of this writing, the Chinese manufacturer has made only the blue and red variants available on pre-orders.
