OnePlus President and COO Lau told Techradar that the device will feature a 120Hz 6.72-inch screen, which is significantly larger than the 6.59-inch panel on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, the largest Nord model to date.
It also has a large battery and supports fast charging, which Liu says “[are]features you usually see in our high-end models.”
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 5G chip, the same as its predecessor, offering 5G support. “Users can expect longer play times, stronger performance, perfect picture playback and no lag across multiple platforms,” Liu said.
It will also be available in OxygenOS 13.1 instead of ColorOS, “debuting the ultra-intuitive OxygenOS 13.1 for a fast and smooth experience”.
He also confirmed that it will feature a 108MP main camera, dual SIM cards and 8GB of virtual memory. “With strong and outstanding specifications, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G will also come at a desirable price.” For reference, the previous generation model will cost £279 in the UK, which means we’re likely to see the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite for the same price or less.
In other news, it will have a 5,000mAh battery and 67W charge, which is stronger than the previous generation’s 33W fast charge. It will also be available in lime and flash grey. It is expected to have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, a rear 108MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth of field sensor. With a 16-megapixel front-facing camera that supports NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, the phone measures 165.5 x 76 x 8.3mm and weighs 195g.
