Earlier, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that the first OnePlus folding screen smartphone will be available in the third quarter of this year. Now Yogesh Brar has revealed that the OnePlus foldable phone launch event will take place in New York in the first half of August, and will be launched globally thereafter.
In addition, OPPO will also launch its Find N3 folding screen in the Chinese market in August, and the One Plus Fold may only be the international version of OPPO Find N3, which is expected to carry an 8-inch QHD+ resolution internal screen and a 6.5-inch FHD + resolution external screen. Both support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The new foldable phone will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The OnePlus Fold is expected to run Android 13 / OxygenOS 13.1, and while it’s close to the official Google Android 14 release in August, it’s not expected to ship anytime soon.
The Fold folding screen will use 80W wired charging, built-in 4800mAh battery, and rear 50MP main camera (Igeekphone: Revelations that support OIS optical stabilization) +48MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 32MP periscope telephoto camera, internal screen and external screen are front-facing 32MP selfie camera.
