The OnePlus 9R is the cheapest model of the OnePlus 9 series. The phone made its global debut in India alongside the other two devices in the range. Yesterday, however, information appeared on the Internet regarding a new variant of the OnePlus 9R with different storage and a new color option.
A blogger on Weibo suggests the OnePlus 9R will be available in a 12GB + 256GB variant in China in the next few days. For the uninitiated, the smartphone is already available in this configuration in India.
In addition, the tipster also thinks the phone will also receive a new “ green “ tint. Currently, the phone is available in two colorways ( black, blue ) and two storage versions ( 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB ) in China.
Unfortunately, we don’t know if the green color option will be limited to the 12GB + 256GB configuration. However, it seems that the new version may not be sold on the OPPO group’s unified online store: Huantai Mall. Finally, no timeline is mentioned for the launch of this variant nor its price. Interested customers are simply asked to wait further. Also, the blogger’s Weibo post says nothing about the new color coming to India.
OnePlus 9R sold in China and is basically the same smartphone available on the Asian market with four key differences. The Chinese version is cheaper, uses ColorOS 11, comes with a 2-year warranty, and has a mascot (Ultraman). Recall that the device has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and not the Snapdragon 888 chipset which is reserved for its two older brothers. It has a 6.55-inch screen with FullHD + resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
