Wireless charging requires too many compromises, OnePlus said long ago, but the technology evolves and even the Asian manufacturer could soon use it in its smartphones. Rumors about the use by OnepPlus of the components that allow you to recharge the battery via a wireless charger had emerged last fall in relation to the OnePlus 8 line and are current again in light of a recent tweet from Max J., user who in other occasions provided advances on terminals that have not yet been formalized.
The source suggests with a stylized image and a laced message that OnePlus 8 Pro could use it – it is not known if it will also be used in the standard variant. Max J. points out that the image – shows a smartphone placed on a wireless charging base – is nothing more than a shared concept for simple illustrative purposes: it is therefore not official material, but it does not fail to take up a detail present in the images rendering of the next top OnePlus range, or the hole in the upper left corner of the screen that houses the front camera.
Previous rumors have indicated that OnePlus 8 Pro will have a 4500mAh battery (structured in two 2250mAh modules) capable of supporting fast charging at 50W. The hypothesis that it can also be recharged wirelessly lays the foundations for defining OnePlus 8 Pro one of the company’s most feature-rich smartphones ever made.
Moreover, the management has made no secret of wanting to further raise the bar with the new OnePlus 8 range: they will be our most beautiful smartphones, declared Pete Lau last December. The standard equipment will also include the 120Hz OLED screen, already presented by OnePlus, the SoC Snapdragon 865, memory configurations up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and rear camera with three modules plus ToF sensor.
