OnePlus 7 Pro 5G was announced together with OnePlus 7 Pro in May, but there was only one problem: it was exclusive in the UK. Everything changed last week when Sprint announced the premiere of 5G in New York, and also announced that it would take OnePlus 7 Pro for a ride.
Similar to its regular model, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a stunning 6.67 inches 90 Hz OLED display and it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired up to 4000mAh battery. It also has fast UFS 3.0 mass storage and this phone runs Android 9 Pie with OxygenOS on top.
In terms of optics, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G has a triple rear camera setup. It is likely to have the same optics of the regular OnePlus 7 Pro that has a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with an f/1.6 lens, 16MP secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and an 8MP tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The phone has a pop-up selfie camera setup with a 16MP sensor.
Connectivity options on the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1) port. The phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
But there is only one configuration of OnePlus 7 Pro 5G model: 256GB of memory, 8GB of RAM and is available in Nebula Blue. Unfortunately, there is no model with 12GB of RAM, as in the case of the 4G model. This is presumably because OnePlus does not sell many of them because 5G is still not very widespread.
