At the end of 2017, OnePlus had released OxygenOS based on Android Oreo for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. Through it OnePlus have been providing some new features to the stable editions of OxygenOS. The company has now released Open Beta 5 for OnePlus 5 and Open Beta 3 for OnePlus 5T. Apart from bug fixes and some improvements, these updates also bring along iPhone X-like navigation gestures.
The new updates come with fix for some common issues such as the direction of swiping finger to receive a phone call. OnePlus has also removed the controversial Clipboard function and fixed a CPU security vulnerability. However, the most interesting feature that has arrived with update is a touch-based navigator bar that replaces the existing navigation bar.

By swiping upwards from the middle of the navigation bar will take the user to the home screen and a swipe towards the left will take the user bac. Swiping up and holding it starts the multitasking menu. One should be aware of the fact only those who have enrolled for OnePlus Open Beta program will see a OTA notification for the new Open Beta update. Users who are not signed up for the beta program can sill try it by downloading the update from the official OnePlus website and flashing it on their OnePlus 5 or 5T.
