If Xiaomi has Black Shark, Nubia also has a gaming cellphone called Red Magic. Like Xiaomi, Nubia is also expected to release at least Red Magic 3 gaming Smartphone this year. Even though we haven’t heard if they are making it, a leaked new patent from Nubia indicates that Nubia might be working on it.
A Nubia patent has just leaked online. The patent was first discovered by Winfuture.de which was said to have been submitted by the company to the Chinese patent office in October 2018 and published last February.
Releasing a leaked patent, a sketch of an image from the Nubia device that appears shows some interesting features that might come in the next generation of Red Magic. One of them revealed that Nubia would carry a built-in cooling fan as a cooling system.
According to the patent description, the CPU on the smartphone will be covered by a copper heat pipe that is connected to the opening of the air duct cover installed at the end of the device’s case. Later the fan will become part of the cooling system which also has a channel that is specifically made to remove heat.
This is a simple and effective way to avoid CPU restrictions due to excessive heat during game use. In addition, the presence of fan cooling fans can accelerate air flow to increase cooling capacity. But it is not clear what Nubia will do later. Although it is said to have a very small fan, maybe the device will have a slightly thick size.
What Nubia does is actually almost similar to ASUS with its ROG Phone gaming phone which also has an active cooling fan. But what makes it different, Nubia offers directly into the device, not installed externally. On the other hand, the report also revealed that Nubia did have a prototype according to what was described in the patent. This seems to be a new cooling solution that Nubia will apply to her upcoming gaming phone.
