After many rumors and leaks, Nubia Red Magic 3 has finally been introduced to the world. The new smartphone brings a number of features aimed at the gamer public and also incorporates powerful technical specifications. In addition, this device draws much attention for its look and accessories. Thus, Nubia hopes to win those users who like to have a great smartphone for games and, at the same time, a device “different” in the pocket. Check all the details:
Presented to the world with a Super AMOLED screen of 6.65 inches, the Nubia Red Magic 3 still delivers many extra features. With this, this display has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, its aspect ratio is 19.5: 9 and the resolution is Full HD. According to the manufacturer, the device allows the user to reduce the refresh rate to 60 Hz. Another great highlight of this device is its design. As we can see in the pictures above, he draws much attention by bringing a rear with V-shaped elements. In addition, the camera and digital player are integrated into the look to give a sense of continuity. On the front, the Red Magic 3 also has two speakers to ensure stereo sound, which does not prevent it from displaying thin edges around the display.
As for cameras, the Red Magic 3 comes with a 48-megapixel f/1.7 main imager powered by a Sony IMX586 sensor, along with a 16-megapixel f/2.0 front camera but with an unknown sensor. Sadly, there’s no optical stabilization here, but the main camera is setting two new records in the mobile industry: it can apparently handle 8K — yes, 8K — video recording, and it also has a super slow motion mode of up to a whopping 1,920 fps (resolution not yet specified). But of course, at the end of the day, it’s all about the picture quality, so we shall see how these video modes fare when we get hold of our own test device.
During the presentation of the device, Nubia also noted that this is the first smartphone in the gamer category to bring an internal cooling fan. For the system to work, the company emphasizes that the device has an air inlet on the back and a side outlet. With this, the Red Magic 3 can withstand hours of gameplay and remains up to 5ºC cooler than the direct competitors. According to the company, this system works in conjunction with the already known liquid refrigeration. For the public who loves to play with friends, this device also incorporates a new microphone with improved noise cancellation.
This way, the user can make calls with friends without much interference. In addition, the fingerprint sensor can be used as a button that triggers functions during the game. Another feature is known as 4D smart shock. With it, the smartphone offers an intelligent vibration system to match different parts of the games. Finally, for more hardcore users, Red Magic 3 was released in conjunction with the Red Magic e-Sports dock. This accessory features a USB-C port, P2 input for headphones and even an ethernet port for wired internet access. Thus, the player gains an even better experience for heavier titles.
Being a top-of-the-line smartphone, Red Magic 3 comes on the market with Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. His main camera has 48 MP (Sony IMX586) and supports 8K recording and slow-motion at 1920 fps. The front sensor has 16 MP, and the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with fast charging of 27W. With it, the user gets one hour of play with only 10 minutes in the socket. Finally, the company kept the P2 input for headphones and the device runs the Android 9.0 Foot.
