Carl Pei’s Nothing company is preparing to unveil the new Nothing Phone (1), the brand’s first smartphone to hit the market. Although the device has already been confirmed, the details about it have not yet been made official. In recent months, there have been several rumors about its characteristics, and now there is new information regarding the screen.
According to what TechDroider reported on its official Twitter profile, the screen of Nothing Phone (1) will be made of an OLED display and will have a size of 6.55 inches, instead of the 6.43-inch AMOLED panel that had been talked about in the past.
As you can verify in the Twitter post, there are other details that only reinforce older speculations. One of these is the resolution of the smartphone, which will be limited to Full HD +.
To top it off, the publication still mentions that the edges will be flat, while there will be no so-called “chin” – the bottom edge. This means that despite the absence of a side-sliding panel, the utilization rate of the device on the front should be high.
Moving on to the main technical specs, according to the latest rumors, there should be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset that could beat under the success, supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of fast memories. The operating system will be, as usual, Android 12 with Nothing UI skin. There will be three years of updates and 4 years of security patches.
So far, no date has been set for the officialization, but Nothing Phone (1) should be presented on July 21st. Please stay connected with us for more information on this.
