A couple of days ago, we learned that HMD Global, hence Nokia, will be heading to the IFA in September / September. There should be introduced three phones whose parameters fall into the basic and middle class. However, it looks like we will see a new model in August.
Because today the company has scheduled an event for August 4 to launch a new smartphone in China. The teaser poster gives us a view of the device in blue color with an accentuated customizable key.
The partial disclosure doesn’t say much about the next device, except for the color and the customizable button, which the company uses for Gooogle Assistant in international markets. However, there is a high possibility that this phone may be the recently discovered Nokia TA-1258 at TENAA.
If that is the case, we are looking at an affordable smartphone equipped with an unknown 1.6 GHz octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It will have a 6.99-inch HD + LCD panel (720 x 1440 pixels) with an 18: 9 aspect ratio and no fancy notches or holes.
In addition, the phone comes with an 8MP main camera and a 5MP selfie camera. it also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. Last but not least, the device will ship with Android 10 and will be supported by a battery of 3040mAh, no support for fast charging. This device will be the first smartphone of Nokia in China after more than a year. The latest smartphone was the Nokia X71 launched in April 2019.
