We all know Nokia. The company was very well known for its mobiles some years ago, and because of financial problems it was sold to Microsoft. Now Microsoft has sold the Nokia part of the company. Last weeks there where many rumors for a return of Nokia with new mobiles using Android as OS. Symbian, the OS that Nokia was using, cannot be used anymore. The information coming in this week says that Nokia is about to release two new smart phones for start. According to these same rumors, the phones will be released based on the Nokia mobile phones brand but from the stable of HMD global Oy.
If you remember, Finland-based HMD Global Oy had announced on 18 May 2016 that it had bought part of the feature phone business of Microsoft Mobile. This part was the company founded after Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia’s original mobile phone business in 2014. This company now is said that it will develop mobile devices under the Nokia brand.
The mobiles according to a leak, will be in different sizes. The smaller will have a 5.2-inch display and the larger will be 5.5-inch. Both models will have a 2K display resolution and a Z-Launcher System UI based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat (Android N) will be installed.
As far for SoC, is said to have, both of them, Snapdragon 820, with all-metal body and perhaps with IP68 Waterproof and Dustproof protection, like Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have.
Camera, from what we know from older leaks is said to be a 22.6MP, but without knowing what front camera might have. The price is thought to be around 3000 yuan ($500), a price neither low nor high for the first comeback of our old friend Nokia.
We all wait, especially for those that once had a Nokia mobile, to see the comeback of the company and with what. Are you also excited!?
