Today, HMD Global launched a cheap Android 12 Go version phone Nokia C12 in 2023. The phone is equipped with a 6.3-inch HD+ resolution LCD display, with a body size of 160.6 x 74.3 x 8.75mm and a weight of 177.4 grams.
The Nokia C12 has a built-in UNISOC SC9863A1 chip, which is built with a 28nm process. It has eight Cortex-A55 cores (4 1.6GHz + 4 1.2GHz) and PowerVR IMG 8322 GPU.
The Nokia C12 phone is equipped with 2GB of RAM, and additionally supports 2GB of virtual extension. Android Go Edition can run on devices with as little as 1GB of RAM, although some phone models come with as much as 4GB. The phone is also equipped with 64GB of internal storage (eMMC5.1) but does not support microSD expansion.
The phone has two cameras, a rear 8MP camera (with autofocus and LED flash), and a front 5MP selfie camera that supports night and portrait modes.
The Nokia C12 is a 4G phone, and other wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.2. Users can also plug wired headphones into the 3.5mm jack. There is also a micro-USB port. The phone houses a 3000mAh battery (with “all-day battery life”) that charges at 5W.
The Nokia C12 uses a polycarbonate body, which is tough in texture and also supports anti-fall protection, with tempered glass on the front. The phone is IP52 rated (dust and drip resistant). HMD has committed to 2 years of quarterly security updates. The Nokia C12 comes in light mint, teal, and charcoal colors.
The 2GB+64GB version of the Nokia C12 is priced at 120 euros, and will be listed in Germany and Austria first, and will be expanded to other markets later.
