Recent leaks have shown that the global HMD has a new Nokia flagship smartphone called Nokia 9. This will be a unique device because it is very likely to be the first smartphone in the world with five cameras on the back. It is said that Nokia will launch this device at the Mobile World Congress 2019 event in Barcelona, but the latest rumors claim that the launch will take place before the MWC 2019 takes place.
Mobile World Congress takes place in the last week of February next year. While rumors suggest that Global HMD, the parent of a Nokia smartphone, will launch the device before the event starts.
So the launch will still take place next year but the device will probably be unveiled a few weeks before the big industrial event (MWC 2019) takes place in February. Of course, this really won’t make a difference because actually, fans want HMD Global to launch this device this year.
Unfortunately, until now HMD Global has not confirmed anything about this device. While what we get from the leakage circulating earlier is that the Nokia 9 will carry 5 cameras on the back, even though the camera’s function is unknown.
Other than the 5 cameras, though, the Nokia 9 might have some trouble differentiating itself from the rest of the 2018 brood. In terms of specs, it’s the regular mix of Snapdragon 845, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and a 5.9-inch no-notch display. Then again, that would be HMD Global’s most powerful flagship to date and most likely will also be it’s most expensive.
