Lenovo, back in November of last year, unveiled the cover of the Motorola Razr 2019, the coolest smartphone successor to the smartphone era, which, contrary to its name, will only be available in stores in 2020 and has a flex display that matches the latest trends.
Yesterday, during CES 2020 in Las Vegas, Liu Jun, Executive Vice President of Lenovo Group and President of Lenovo‘s China operations, said in an interview that the Motorola Razr smartphone will be launched in the Chinese market in the 2nd quarter of this year.
Also, he has said that the Razr foldable smartphone coming to the Chinese market in Q2 2020 will come with support for 5G connectivity.
As far as hardware is concerned, the Motorola Razr features a main Flex View p-OLED display of 6.2 inches, the 21: 9 aspect ratio display is 2142 x 876 pixels, while the enclosure hides 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chip running at 2.2GHz. Of course, the phone also has a fast-charging (15W) and USB-Cs connector, but the battery is only 2510mAh, which is quite modest compared to currently available high-end phones.
On the back (which is the cover when closed) is a 16MP main camera, and above it is a 2.7-inch secondary screen that lets you use the device when folded – although we can’t stream it, it shows the time, displays notifications, messages, and letters. There is also a front-facing camera on the sensor bite at the top of the inside screen, which is the only 5MP, so chances are the best selfies of the decade will not be made. The Motorola Razr runs the Android 9 Pie operating system.
