There have been many rumors that we have been hearing since the beginning of the year, where it is said that Motorola will launch a smartphone with a folding screen, whose peculiarity is that it would not be folded horizontally but vertically, to leave us a small mobile that fits in the pocket. This, of course, reminds us of that mythical Moto RAZR.
Today this rumor is stronger than ever since Motorola has just sent invitations to an event taking place in the city of Los Angeles on November 13th. The invitation includes an image, which is a GIF, which leaves very little to the imagination. Even Motorola does not try to hide it by mentioning that there we will see the “highly anticipated presentation of a reinvented icon” .
According to information from Cnet, the invitation includes the following GIF with the legend “original like no other” and the date of November 13, 2019. But the important thing here is the device that can be seen, which seems to open and close and whose hinge reminds us a lot of RARE.
The rest of the invitation includes details of the venue as well as information that it will be a great event that will feature special guests and musical performers, as well as “a trip through immersive experiences.”
According to rumors, this new Motorola folding device would arrive with this peculiar design that would bring back the “shell” format but using an 876 x 2,142 pixel OLED folding screen, in addition to a 600 x 800-pixel exterior screen.
The rest of the information points to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, with options of 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of internal storage. Its battery would be 2730mAh and would arrive in white, black and gold colors. The rumors also point to a launch price of $1500 and would be the first device with a folding screen under this design and the first also for Motorola and Lenovo.
