Motorola launched its first foldable smartphone last year, the Motorola Razr, and the company is now gearing up to launch its successor, the second generation Moto Razr flagship foldable phone with 5G connectivity. The company recently sent out teasers stating that the Motorola Razr 5G could launch on September 9th.
Now, the Lenovo-backed company has released a new poster stating that the same phone could be released in China on September 10, just a day after its global launch. Write down the dates, therefore: 09.09 global presentations, 10.09 announcement on Asian soil.
While the company hasn’t revealed anything about this upcoming smartphone, some details have leaked online. Beyond the renewed style thanks to the soft and sinuous lines, there will be a fingerprint hidden in the logo on the back, a smaller notch at the top of the display, 5G modem, and a Snapdragon 765G processor, together with this, we will find 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage and dual-mode 5G support. Definitely a step forward compared to the first Razr 4G LTE.
The battery will be only 2633mAh but will have the 18W fast charge. The camera also changes; the main sensor will be 48MP on the back and on the front instead, there will be a 20MP snapper. A major design breakthrough is expected to be presented by Motorola in 2021 with the Razr 2, the true successor to the 2019 Razr, with a larger screen, improved design, and an even tougher hinge.
It also appears that Motorola has partnered with Telecom China for the launch in the territory. We will keep you posted.
