Motorola’s first quad-camera smartphone was originally thought to be the One Pro. However, new information, courtesy of WinFuture, suggests that it will be named One Zoom. Motorola has given this designation to the new smartphone due to the rear camera configuration.
The highlight of Motorola One Zoom goes for a 48MP main camera that should be identical to the one found in Motorola One Vision. The sensor utilizes a technology known as quad-pixel that essentially creates a more detailed 12MP image by combining four pixels into one. It also supports optical image stabilization and presumably an f / 1.7 aperture.
Accompanying the main sensor is a super wide-angle camera. The information is still scarce but should be identical to that found in Motorola One Action. That said, it should support a 117º field of view and will be marketed as an “Action Cam”.
Named Motorola One Zoom is the third camera. It should support optical image stabilization and apparently will allow a 5x hybrid zoom system. The latter will be possible by combining 2x or 3x optical zoom with extra data captured by the remaining cameras. Finally, there should be a dedicated 5MP depth sensor that helps create bokeh effects. It is also likely that a 25MP or 13MP selfie camera will emerge.
However, there is a novelty that distinguishes this device from Motorola One Vision and One Action. One Pro does not have a 21: 9 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the fingerprint sensor is on the screen. Thus we will have an AMOLED screen instead of LCD.
Regarding the internal configuration, 91Mobiles believes that the Motorola One Zoom will abandon the Exynos 9609 chipset that is in One Vision and One Action for the most powerful Snapdragon 675 ever used inside the Moto Z4. At variant level, the standard should come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is under development.
Like all other Motorola One devices, One Zoom will launch as an Android One smartphone. Added to this is a massive 4000mAh battery that supposedly supports Motorola’s 27W TurboPower fast charging technology. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone output and a USB-C port at the bottom.
We also have the volume and power buttons on the right side. A speaker will be at the top. The back, in gray or purple, should be made of glass. It may come in more shades in the future: previously leaked images show a brown cell phone.
Roland Quandt says the Motorola One Zoom will be launched at the IFA fair in Berlin in early September along with One Action and another model. According to WinFuture, the smartphone will sell for 429 euros ($480) in most European markets.
