The Motorola Moto G6 put the technology world in the opposite corner so far as it was not introduced at the 2018 Mobile World Congress. Moto G5 was introduced at MWC 2017, so it was expected that Moto G6 would be introduced at MWC 2018.
Although this expectation does not turn out to be true, it seems that the G6 and G6 Plus will not have to wait long to become official. The photos of the G6, which is said to belong to the so-called “Play” version, were leaked internally via Taiwan’s telecom certification agency NCC. Thanks to some images published by the company in Taiwan, it appears that the final appearance of the device has been confirmed.
The front panel is clearly dominated by a new 18: 9 screen, while the rear plate is branded by Motorola, although the well-known batwing logo is also on the right-hand corner. For the top chassis, the loudspeaker is placed centrally, while the left-hand side of the camera is facing forward and an LED flash can be located to the right. Moving backward, the new design language of the company can be fully appreciated, showing a beautiful glass, dominated to a large extent by a large camera unit.In addition, on the right side of the device, you can see a volume key and a Power button.
On the back, there is a unique sensor that is rumored to have 16MP resolution and LED flash. Just below the circular camera unit is the “M” logo which appears to be integrated into the case and should also act as a fingerprint reader. In the aluminum frame of the device, there is a 3.5mm headphone socket at the top of the device, while underneath a micro-USB port it appears to be present instead of the newest USB Type-C connector.
The Moto G6 Play is rumored to release a large 5.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. In addition, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor combined with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. In the camera segment, the forward-facing sensor is expected to have the same 16MP resolution with the rear lens and a large 4.000mAh battery. Finally, as with all Motorola releases, the new Moto G6 Play will be released with Android 8.0 Oreo, which will include support for Google’s Project Treble.
