Motorola has scheduled an event for next February 23. On that day it is expected that the manufacturer will reveal new smartphones, and the Moto G Stylus is one of the most anticipated models. The Moto G Stylus will be a variant of the Moto G8 Power, and the big difference is that it brings a stylus in the style of the Galaxy Note. A few days before its launch, XDA Developers revealed all the specifications of the terminal.
Looking at the specifications, the Moto G Stylus has a screen of 6.36 inches diagonal and FullHD + resolution of 2300 x 1080 pixels. This has a hole in the upper left corner for a 25MP camera sensor with an aperture (f / 2.0). In addition, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor is the one that is housed under the hood along with a 64GB and 128GB ROM, so we will have two storage versions. RAM is not mentioned, but 4GB and 6GB editions may be offered. The phone will also come in single SIM and dual SIM versions.
The rear camera module consists of three triggers. The main camera is a Samsung S5KGM1 48MP lens (f / 1.7) and is paired with a wide-angle “Action Cam” of 16MP (f / 2.2) and 117 °. The wide-angle camera is the same one that debuted in the Motorola One Action, the report says. The camera allows users to record wide-angle videos even if the phone is kept in portrait mode. The third sensor is a 2MP macro lens (f / 2.2).
The Moto G Stylus has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 4000mAh battery. While we expect it to have support for at least 15-W fast charging, it is said that the FCC presentation for the device mentions that it only supports 10 W fast charging. The phone will have NFC in some regions, while other regions will lose function. What is consistent in all markets is that it will run Android 10 out of the box and will have 4 regional variants: North America, Latin America, China, and an international variant.
The source also highlights some features of the device’s software, leaving us with little capacity for amazement when the manufacturer announces the terminal with all its details. This says that the Moto G Stylus will have an application that can be configured to start an app or shortcut when the Stylus pencil is removed from its slot. There is also a function called “Moto Note”. He also says that users can erase with a finger everything they have done while using the pencil. In addition, they may add a watermark with a date on the written notes.
This application will also record the time and location at which you removed the pen and send you a notification if the pen has not been reinserted after a certain period of time. This way, you can track the location of the pencil.
A representation of the bottom of the phone shows that the stylus is located in the lower right corner of the phone. There is an audio jack on the far left, while a USB-C port is in the middle and a speaker grill flanks it to the right.
Finally, the release date of the Moto G Stylus is still unknown. Despite this, we speculate that Lenovo would be announcing it at the end of February. Is it possible to know about it at the Mobile World Congress 2020? This is something that is hopeful for us, although only a mere probability. Similarly, if this month is not the one chosen to launch it, it could be March. We do not expect the Motorola G Stylus to take a long time to reach the market.
