Last December, Qualcomm officially released its new flagship 5G SoC, the Snapdragon 888, along with the release of the first 14 handset makers to use the Snapdragon 888, including veteran Motorola.
Now, Motorola has officially announced that a new flagship phone, Edge S with the Snapdragon 888 will be unveiled soon.
However, Motorola may think that this year’s mobile phone market is too competitive to do well on a single phone, so it is trying to win more market share through the “sea of phones”.
Not long ago, Chen Jin, general manager of Lenovo’s mobile business department in China, said that Motorola’s new flagship with Snapdragon 8XX will be unveiled soon.
As soon as the news came out, it caused the whole network speculation, Snapdragon 8XX is where the “sacred” has become the hot topic of netizens.
Today, the blogger @digital chat station revealed that Motorola Edge S will be the first to carry Qualcomm’s upcoming new 8 Series flagship chip.
The blogger previously revealed that the new phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 high-frequency version.
Qualcomm is about to release a 3.2GHz processor that will have faster processing speed and higher performance levels than the Snapdragon 865, which is known as the Snapdragon 870.
It is worth mentioning that Lenovo has released the Snapdragon 855 and Snapdragon 865+ processors in the past two years, and this time it will release the new Snapdragon 8 series chip, which is called “the king of the first release”.
According to what we know so far, the Edge S will have a 6.7-inch 2520x1080P high-brush perforated screen, a 16-megapixel dual camera front and a 64-megapixel main camera, the same type as the Oppo Reno5 Pro (both OV64B sensors).
