On April 2, MOTOROLA launched the first phone in the mid-range Edge 60 series, the Edge 60 Fusion, which has a unique “canvas” texture appearance and is priced at £299.99 in the UK market. The current exchange rate is about 2,818 RMB).
The Edge 60 Fusion is unique in its design, with its “canvas” back cover being one of the highlights, though this unique design is only available on the “Amazon stone” (i.e. turquoise) version. The phone also comes in blue and pink versions, but they are made of faux leather. Regardless of the material, the Edge 60 Fusion has IP68 and 69 protection ratings, which means that the phone is completely resistant to dust, water and high-pressure water jets.
In terms of specifications, there are some differences between versions of the Edge 60 Fusion. The version launched in the UK is just under 8mm thick and comes with a sizeable 5200mAh battery, as well as a 6.67-inch OLED screen. The version launched in other regions has a larger 5500mAh battery, but the body thickness is slightly increased.
The phone is configured with 12GB of running memory and 512GB of storage, although the Mediatek Dimensity chip (7300 or 7400 depending on the market) is relatively basic, which may limit its performance somewhat. In terms of cameras, although it looks like there are four cameras on the back of the phone, one of them is actually a flash and the other is an anti-flicker sensor, so it is actually only equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera.
