Igeekphone, June 5 news, Motorola yesterday officially released the Motorola Edge (2024) mobile phone, as the Edge (2023) mobile phone successor released in October 2023, mainly improved the processor and main camera.
The MOTOROLA Edge (2024) features a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The panel offers 10-bit color, peak brightness up to 1300 nits, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone is powered by a 2.4GHz Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, which improves multi-core performance by about 22% and GPU performance by 11% compared to last year’s Dimensity 7030 SoC.
The phone comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the camera side, the phone uses a 50-megapixel SONY LYT-700C sensor as the main camera, an improvement over the 50-megapixel Omnivision OV50A sensor used in last year’s model.
The second camera on the back is a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an aperture of f / 2.2 for macro shooting. The front-facing camera is a 32-megapixel selfie lens with an aperture of f / 2.4 and uses Quad Pixel technology (pixel binning).
It runs Android 14, has a built-in 5,000mAh battery, and supports 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. Other highlights include dust and water resistance (IP68) rating, 5G connectivity (SA/NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB TypeC, NFC and Dolby Atmos) stereo speakers.
The phone also has a customizable quick button that can be used as a shortcut to launch the camera, gallery or other apps. The MOTOROLA Edge (2024) is priced at $549.99 and will be released on June 20.
