Days after the leaked technical specification images, Motorola officially announced the brand’s new smartwatch. It is the Moto Watch 100, which is a device licensed and produced by a partner called eBuyNow. This is the same company that launched the latest version of the Moto 360, back in 2019.
The new Moto Watch 100 comes with blood oxygen measurement, the autonomy of up to two weeks, and a price of less than $99 to change. We are going to review all the features and specifications of the new model.
The new Moto Watch 100 features a 1.3-inch LCD panel. The design remains circular, as in the rest of the models in the family. The 42mm case is made of aluminum, a good material of construction for an inexpensive cut watch. It has two physical buttons and the weight of the set is 29 grams with a strap.
Regarding the operating system, it uses Moto OS, its own system that moves away from Wear OS in function (it does not have an application store), but is more similar to the proposal of Amazfit and other rivals. Having such a simple system makes the use time extend up to two weeks, with a 355mAh battery.
At the level of connectivity and functions, the Moto Watch 100 has integrated GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, up to 26 modes of monitoring sports activity, including walking, indoor and outdoor running, CrossFit, American football, etc. The watch is able to track the number of steps taken, distance, stride length, average and maximum heart rate, the user’s heart rate, and saturation. blood oxygen.
Additionally, the duration and quality of sleep and the level of oxygen in the blood at night are monitored. In fact, the model functionally resembles a fitness bracelet rather than a full-fledged smartwatch. The functions can be controlled in the Motorola fitness app, which will be released in the near future.
Thanks to its resistance to 5 ATMs. You can swim with the watch, but you definitely must not dive with it.
At least initially, the Moto Watch 100 will be sold in the US and UK. Available in Glacier Silver (silver) and Phantom Black (black), the model can now be purchased from the official product website for $99.99.
