Yesterday, 91 Mobiles exclusively reported that Motorola is launching the Moto Tab 8 in India at the Flipkart Big Billion Day sale next month. And while we had details about the launch plans, official names, and prices, we didn’t know what the product would look like.
Now thanks to tipster Yogesh Bara, we can confirm that the Motorola tablet will be launched in India in October under the name Moto Tab 8, which will be a rebranded Lenovo Tab M8 FHD which is already available in India. Besides the promotional poster on Flipkart shows a white-colored rear panel with a single camera. At the same time, the front panel of the tablet is surrounded by thick bezels.
Considering that it will be a rebranded Lenovo Tab M8 FHD, the Moto Tab 8 will feature an 8-inch screen with support for FHD (1,200 x 1,920 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the Moto Tab 8 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22T chipset with up to 4GB of RAM available. Storage options will be 32GB and 64GB, with buyers also getting a choice between Wi-Fi and mobile variants.
This tablet packs a 13MP camera at the back and a 5MP shooter on the front. And finally, the Moto Tab 8 comes with a 5000mAh battery with USB Type-C charging support. Metallic body, Dolby audio support, child safety features will also be part of the package. It should be mentioned that when the Lenovo Tab M8 FHD was launched in 2019, it came with Android 9 onboard. However, considering it 2021, we can expect Android 11.
In our report from yesterday, we had mentioned that the Moto Tab 8 price in India will be under Rs 20,000, but when we look at the hardware, we can expect the tablet to be at the lower end of the price range. For reference, the Lenovo Tab M8 FHD price in India is Rs 13,999 on Flipkart.
