Many of the leaks are based on official images, renders created by users and real images that appear ‘mysteriously’ on the network. In many cases, design leaks are also thanks to their covers. Accessory manufacturers need to know the design and dimensions of the terminal to apply the case and sometimes this happens: a filtration reveals the possible design of the Motorola Moto P40 and Moto Z4 Play thanks to its covers.
The images have been seen through SlashLeaks and it happens that the filtered covers are transparent, showing the design of both devices. Undoubtedly, the most interesting is the Moto P40. Everything indicates that it will be the first mobile of the company to include a screen without just frames and with a camera directly on the screen, as it already has the Samsung Galaxy A8s or the Huawei Nova 4.
The covers also show their back with a dual camera and a fingerprint reader, which will be located directly on the company’s logo. It seems that it will also have a headphone jack and a USB C input.
On the other hand, the design of the Moto Z4 Play does not go unnoticed either. The images again show a full screen, with hardly any frames. Of course, it does not have a camera on the screen, it has a notch in the upper area, where only the camera is housed.
The rear of this device is very similar to that of other versions of the Moto Z family: camera with a rounded shape in the upper area and pins in the lower area, which will be used to couple the different modules. In this case, it seems that the fingerprint reader will be located directly on the screen. It will also have a headphone jack and USB port C.
Its specifications and price are unknown, but we could see it this year, perhaps during the Mobile World Congress of 2019, which will be held in Barcelona at the end of February. It is likely that before your presentation we see more leaks.
