After presenting the “Moto Razr”, Motorola remained silent. After the closing of MWC 2020 in Barcelona, that silence lasted until today. In a statement via social media, the Lenovo-owned brand announces its return to the high-end with the new Moto Edge Series and its two versions to be presented in a few days.
The confirmation of the presentation has been made by the same firm through its official Twitter account:
The design of the new Motorola Edge and Edge + was filtered thanks to @OnLeaks. In those images, you could see that sharp curve of the screen that occupies practically the entire front and that “floods” the device.
For the photographic section, the images of the Edge + show a vertical module of three sensors. According to some rumors points to the main sensor of 108MP next to one of 16MP for the ultra-wide-angle camera and 8MP for the telephoto.
On the front, we find a tiny front camera that takes advantage of the option of the hole in the screen as a way to “hide” from the overall design.
At the bottom, we have a USB-C connector, while at the top there is a headphone jack in this design.
Specifications
The previous leaks point to a promising hardware combination based on the Snapdragon 865, 8 or 12GB of RAM and a 5170mAh battery. It is a piece of news that also confirms good news in the area of autonomy. It is expected to have 5G connectivity. While the 6.67-inch screen for that Edge + model would have 90Hz refresh rate support.
Undoubtedly a striking bet of which we can confirm all the details on April 22 at 6:00 p.m. Spanish time (11:00 a.m. in Mexico City, 1:00 a.m. in Buenos Aires, by example). At least that’s what the rumors say – we’ll know everything about Moto Edge Series in detail next week. Details like availability and prices are unknown yet.
