Today Xiaomi officially announces that the third batch MIUI 9 OS ROM has been released, those MIUI 8 developer version can upgrade to MIUI 9 by OTA directly. The stable version users need to go to MIUI official website to apply for unlocking, and then downloading the ROM to flash your phone by manual. Before upgrading, just backup your personal data well to avoid any lost.
The models to upgrade MIUI 9 OS as follow:
Xiaomi MI Note, Xiaomi MI4, Xiaomi MI3, Xiaomi MI3 3G TD-version, MI2/2S, MI Pad 3, MI Pad 2, MI Pad, Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 4X-MTK, Redmi note 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4 advanced, Redmi 4 standard, Redmi 3s/3x, redmi note 3 netcom, Redmi note 3 dual network, Redmi note 2, Redmi note 4G dual SIM card, Redmi note TDD, FDD 4G, Redmi note 3G TD version, Redmi note WCDMA, Redmi 3, Redmi 2A standard/advanced, Redmi 2 TDD 4G, Redmi 2 FDD 4G/ CDMA 4G, Redmi 2 TDD 4G Advanced version, Redmi 2 FDD 4G Advanced/CDMA 4G Advanced, Redmi 1S 3G TD version, Redmi 1S TDD 4G version, Redmi 1S WCDMA 3G/CDMA 3G, Redmi 1 TD version/WCDAM version
Because they find SIM card can’t be recognized to upgrade Redmi Pro, Redmi Note 4 to MIUI 9 OS, they will not release MIUI 9 Public test this week temporarily, Xiaomi will fix it soon.
Xiaomi MI5, MI6, MI Note 2, MI5C, MI5S, MI pad 3, MI MAX Standard/advanced and Redmi Note 4X Snapdragon version upgrade MIUI 9 OS to find some functions are not stable, they will delay to release its public test.
This upgrade is the largest scale for MIUI until now. So besides Xiaomi MI1/1S and Redmi 2A and other some models, Xiaomi has upgraded MIUI 9 developer version for all its phones. What we do next is to wait for MIUI 9 stable version announcement by the end of October or the Beginning of November.
