Recently, MIUI 14 has been unveiled and xiaomiui.net claimed that this new version of MIUI is expected to be launched with the Xiaomi Mi 13 series by the end of the year. MIUI 14 has been spotted in the codebase, and the Mi 13 phone codenamed Nuwa will ship with MIUI 14.
A famous leakster “Digital Chat Station” said that it is still early before the release of MIUI 14, and the new smartphone released in August will continue to be preinstalled with MIUI 13, although the UX style of the MIUI 13 beta version is now moving closer to the new version and it will also bring new smart devices.
Previously, the same source revealed that the communication app bubble notification (adapted to Chinese instant messaging apps) in MIUI 13 and the local OCR (picture text recognition) temporarily exclusive to the new device will also be integrated with the next major version of the system.
The Redmi K50 Ultra, which was recently teased by Lu Weibing, is expected to be released in August, powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 120W fast charge.
Xiaomi previously announced that starting with MIUI based on Android 13, MIUI will focus on two versions, the “development version” and the “official version”.
Among them, the MIUI development version will be updated weekly, and the official version will be released and updated according to user usage. The development version and the official version will gradually realize switching between versions without clearing data.
