Today, April 27, in addition to announcing the Mi 10 Youth for China, Xiaomi has finally lifted the curtain on MIUI 12, fully presenting the new version of the proprietary interface. Below is all the news, including features, improvements in terms of security, and supported smartphones.
Design and animations
The first point on which Xiaomi focused during the launch event of its MIUI 12 is the fluidity of the system animations. The Chinese company aims at a demanding challenge, which is to try to compete with the responsiveness of iOS, going to revisit the animations, without giving up the level of detail. Note the introduction of dynamic weather, with various changes in the system app.
The minimal style that has always characterized the Xiaomi interface is fully maintained. However, improvements have been made to make everything clearer and more precise, especially when it comes to smartphone information and software.
MIUI 12 brings with it new live wallpapers (Mars and Earth is shown), even more detailed: the images can be enlarged and rotated. As previously mentioned, the UI is the first with TÜV Rheinland certification. Great space also for safety thanks to the Mask System.
Multitasking, call Ai, Xiaomi Health and Themes
Important news for multitasking, with the arrival of a new floating window that will overlap the app in the foreground. It is a very useful feature and allows you to take advantage of maps, messaging, and much other software in an immediate way. With MIUI 12, AI calls arrive, complete with an automatic answer.
The Chinese company also introduces Xiaomi Health, an application that benefits from advanced algorithms for the detection and processing of movement data, all via AI. To celebrate the 10 years of the Chinese brand, Xiaomi will provide an avalanche of free Themes, with a renewed interface for the appropriate software.
