Xiaomi recently announced the interruption of the development of the Chinese beta builds based on MIUI 11 and is already projected towards the next version of the Android customization, MIUI 12, whose arrival is confirmed for this year.
The Xiaomi released a version of its application settings in an official forum with visual changes that may appear in future MIUI 12. The company is believed to have recently started developing the next major update to its Android-based system.
As XDA Developers explains, Xiaomi often posts betas of its apps on the MIUI forum for the Chinese community. She did this a few days ago with the MiSettings app (Settings), and one user noticed that the interface had several differences compared to the current version. Let’s see them all.
Refresh Rate
The refresh rate settings are now illustrated in a more intuitive way, with an animation that exemplifies the user the difference in fluidity between the possible options, in this case, 60Hz or 120 Hz.
Screen Time
The screen time graph will also change. It will allow you to know exactly the time the display is used with hourly, daily and weekly statistics. Moreover, it will also be possible to see the time spent on each app. As well as being able to create a shortcut on the Home screen to immediately access information relating to the use of the screen.
Focus Mode
A small change will also affect the Focus Mode (the mode that allows you to silence all notifications for a certain period of time) with a resized central graphics and an additional option for the duration, which apparently can now be set up to 180 minutes.
Dark Mode
Finally, interesting indications regarding the general stylistic line with which Xiaomi thinks to renew the interface arrive. Curiously MIUI 12 seems to remove in the Dark Mode many gray elements present in MIUI 11. Except, curiously, to add others that were not there, as can be appreciated from the comparison between the pages dedicated to the calibration of the display.
Judging by what can be seen in the screenshots, the interface will become more accurate and simple. Access to icons will be simplified, and information and intuitiveness will increase. In the images above you can appreciate some of the changes. At the moment, it is not known how early the leaked version of MIUI 12 was. In any case, we do not have and will not have any other sources to give the impression of a new interface.
