Today it has been announced that the MIUI 12 Beta version based on the Chinese ROM will be stopped for all Xiaomi smartphones that contain the Snapdragon 865 inside. This break is due to the fact that it is going to seek to improve the communication performance of mobile phones and improve the stability of the Snapdragon 865. This break affects the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom.
According to Xiaomi, the communication of the Snapdragon 865 will be improved by polishing code in the area called Qualcomm’s “baseline”. So this will mean that for 3 weeks the updates for the Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro, and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom do not exist in the Chinese Beta ROM.
This stop of updates in the China Beta ROM does not affect the Chinese or Global Stable version of these mentioned devices.
On the other hand, Xiaomi is working on updating the Redmi Note 8 and Mi 9 Lite (CC9e) to Android 10. It is expected that in a few weeks it will be available in the China Stable ROM and in a few months it will be available to users of the Global ROM.
