This month, Xiaomi will present its 2 new smartphones, the Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi Mix 4. Both terminals will be accompanied by the latest version of MIUI, the layer of the Chinese manufacturer that we love to use in the company’s smartphones.
MIUI 11 has begun to be deployed in its internal Alpha version and how could it otherwise has already leaked images of what Xiaomi has prepared for its smartphones. The catches published by XDA Developers were extracted from a closed beta of MIUI 11 with version 11 9.9.9.
In this new version of MIUI, we see improvements in design, usability, customization, and functionality. The icons have been redesigned and show a greater color either on a white background or with the dark MIUI theme.
This new version adds a new function of ‘dynamic sounds’, a new Xiaomi community application, a redesigned file manager, the ability to program dark mode and quick responses for third-party messaging applications. The user interface will also include the redesigned themes application.
The Always On mode has also been improved and now allows you to create animation customization as well as the addition of new animations with different colors. They include changing the color of the text automatically depending on the weather, a function that changes the light depending on the sunrise/sunset in your location and many more customization options.
Among the new features, we will also find the new file-sharing system between different devices, which is also being integrated by Oppo and Vivo. We found the ultra saving mode. When the power saving mode is activated, only the services of text message apps and some messaging applications are available, which greatly increases the battery life.
This saving mode enables the dark mode of MIUI, deactivates the applications that are working behind in the background, deactivates the GPS location, vibration, display of the screen of interest, disables the apps and completely changes the interface, leaving the apps necessary to “survive in case we need help from our contacts.”
These are the improvements detected in this Alpha version. We hope to find more news of MIUI in the final version such as support for sharing images on a screen and shortcuts and sharing apps.
