Microsoft is holding a new Surface event on October 2. In that case, it is very likely that the company will present the new Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3. It is not clear what innovation they will bring and if they will be just a slight upgrade or if they will be totally new models. However, a clue has emerged from Geekbench that reveals a technical detail that should be part of the equipment of the new Surface.
The ” OEMJL OEMJL Product Name EV1.5A ” product appeared on the Benchmark website database, a name that uses the same layout as the Surface Go with Intel Core m3 CPU recently appeared on Geekbench.
According to the findings, therefore, “OEMJL OEMJL Product Name EV1.5A” has the 10th generation Intel Ice Lake CPU (Intel Core i5-1035G1) – 3.60 GHz with Turbo Boost, being paired with 8GB RAM. Talking about the results, the single-core score of this device is 4349 while the multi-core score is 13401. It is not clear, of course, what exact Surface is but it could really be either the Surface Pro 7 or the Surface Laptop 3.
An important detail that highlights that the new Redmond devices will certainly have the latest generation of Intel processors. But the Surface Pro 7 and the Surface Laptop 3, if you call them that, may not be the only news of that event.
While the rest of the details for the new generation Surface devices remain unknown for now, we can expect similar portability, a gorgeous display accompanied by a similar keyboard with that nice feeling soft surface. And, wouldn’t be a surprise if Microsoft decided to get rid of the regular USB ports and make it all USB Type-C.
An event that could bring many surprises. All that remains is to wait until October 2 or further rumors on the next Microsoft Surface.
