Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 should be released soon, but the first details about the product are already available. The fourth generation of the laptop has now been seen for the first time on the benchmarking page Geekbench.
According to the Geekbench testing platform database, the Surface Laptop 4 will be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 3580U processor marked Microsoft Surface Edition and codenamed Renoir. It is not yet known for sure how this model differs from the Ryzen 5 3580U Picasso, which was installed in one of the versions of the Surface Laptop 3.
The table shows the difference with Picasso in the number of cores, threads, memory, etc. But at the same time, there is a maximum frequency less than the base, which casts doubt on the accuracy of the data.
As for the assessment, the novelty scored 1063 points in the single-core test and 5726 points in the multi-core. For comparison, the Surface Laptop 3 with Ryzen 5 3580U had 878 and 2819 points, and the model with Intel Core i7-1065G7 – 1310 and 4787 points, respectively.
With a well appeared some tests Surface Laptop 4 processor Intel Core i5-1135G7, they surpassed chip from AMD’s single-core test and gave multinuclear. There are no versions of the laptop with Core i7 in the database yet, as there is no information from Microsoft about the official release date of Surface Laptop 4.
The new Surface Pro 8 is to be presented at the same time as the Surface Laptop 4. In view of the fact that Microsoft only introduced the Surface Pro + a few weeks ago, a release is expected towards the end of the year.
