Meizu has released Meizu M3S budget metal smartphone to compete with Huawei Honor 5A. They have held one hour release conference about Meizu M3S. As you know, Meizu M3S is the upgraded version of Meizu m3, we compared them yesterday. But Meizu M3S still upgraded a little in its design and performance, of course, price. So we would like to share Meizu M3S review for your reference.
Design
The overall design of Meizu M3S is similar to that of Meizu MX5, and Meizu Pro 5, using three-step design, plastic material up and down side. There is a metal line connecting. So we can see Meizu M3S looks more exquisite than before. And the ultra slim sandblasting craftsmanship of back cover also brings more excellent quality with 5inch 720p 2.5D curved glass on the front screen that is hard to make you believe Meizu M3s sells at 699 yuan, $108.
Meizu M3S has metal body and fingerprint ID which provides more safety and convenience. It can also support Mback, mTouch and mPay functions like other Meizu flagship smartphone which makes you experience same on Meizu M3S as those flagship phones. It has silver, gold and rose golden color with smooth design to compete with those flagship phones.
Hardware and Antutu
It supports 6 mode 18 frequency Netcom, dual SIM card, dual standby, 2.5GHz/5GHz dual WIFI frequency and VoLTE function. Meanwhile, Meizu M3S also is powered by Octa core MTK6750 processor which makes us believe it will be one of the most competitive smartphones with Octa core to run apps, play games fluently. Let’s make the Antutu test about it. It shows 38,342 scores, rank highly in Antutu test. In practical use, we can open the apps very fast and run the OS very smooth, although the performance is not so outstanding, it can still meet our daily use.
Fingerprint ID
In test, we need to record a fingerprint in about 15 times, and it goes on very smoothly, but during the real unlocking test, the successful rate only has 60% in fingerprint scanner. So it will happen that you may not unlock your phone. Because this Meizu M3S is the engineering version, not final sell version, we hope it can be improved when the sale version released.
Conclusion
Meizu M3S is a nice budget smartphone in metal body, fingerprint scanner, 2.5D curved design and Octa core processor, of course, the competitive price, if you would like to find a budget phone which can meet your daily use, we can recommend you are able to try this Meizu M3S, but if you want one to play high-end games, of course, you can choose the flagship smartphone of Meizu, like Meizu MX5, Meizu Pro 6, etc.
