Meizu’s Flyme ROM has a very simple and beautiful UI design. It is quite popular in China like Huawei’s Emotion UI and Xiaomi’s MIUI. Fresh information suggest that the Flyme ROM is now available for around 30 phones from Xiaomi. Interestingly, the list includes Xiaomi phones from 2012.
The Xiaomi phones that can support Flyme OS include Mi Note, Ni Note 3, Mi 2A, Redmi Note 3 variants, Redmi Note, Redmi 4, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note 4G, Redmi Note 4X, Mi 5, Redmi 4, Mi 3, Redmi 3, Mi Max 2, Redmi 5 Plus, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 4X, Mi 5S, and Redmi 3S. This shows that the Flyme OS is available for even those Xiaomi phones that have been discontinued.
The Flyme OS users are also provided with security and maintenance updates regularly. Apart from smartphones from Xiaomi, the Flyme OS is available for phones from other brands like OnePlus, Samsung, Google, ZTE Nubia, Lenovo and Sony.
Meizu has recently released the stable version of Flyme 6 Spring Edition for 34 of its smartphones such as Meizu MX4, MX4 Pro, MX5, MX6, PRO 5, PRO 6, PRO 6s, PRO 6 Plus, PRO 7, PRO 7 Plus, M1 Note, M2 Note, M3 Note, M5 Note, M2, M3, M3s, M5s, M1 Metal, Meizu X, Meizu E2, Meizu MX, M3 Max, U10, and U20. Rumors have it that the company is working on Flyme 7 OS.
