Next year, Chinese company Meizu will release a new flagship series of smartphones Meizu 17. It will be the first smartphone company with a new chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, introduced in early December. In addition to the cool flagship chip, it also needs to get new camera technology.
The official Meizu posters depict the name OMA – this is the name of the technology. The only thing that is known now, so it’s something that “can help you take good pictures.” More details are promised to be told on December 13. In a comment to the post, Meizu Technology confirms that the technology is for Meizu 17.
This means that we will see the full presentation of the technology with the launch of the smartphone. Of course, the novelty will be able to connect 5G. And also, we have seen the first renders. The Meizu 17 will have a special screen design.
This type of screen is called the “waterfall” that Samsung has long introduced in its flagship Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series. It will also retain the thin frames used in the Meizu 16. Just this time the top and bottom frames will be reduced to the side size. As a result, we get a high screen-to-body ratio. The announcement is expected in the spring of 2020.
