Today, Meizu officially announced that Meizu 17 series began to push new firmware updates of Flyme. This update bringing a 120Hz screen refresh rate early adopter mode, DC dimming, and supporting video playback HDR. Meizu said it is being pushed one after another. Compared with 90Hz, 120Hz can bring a smoother experience, more exquisite dynamic effects, and can perfectly show design advantages of Flyme. Apart the high refresh rate can also make the gaming experience more immersive. And Meizu 17 series has been adapted Under One, “QQ Speed”, “Ace Warrior” and many other popular 90Hz games. It is reported that Meizu will also do more game adaptations for 120Hz.
Specifications
The Meizu 17 and 17 Pro comes with a full HD+ 6.6-inch S-AMOLED punch-hole display. The Snapdragon 865 SoC fuels both phones. The Meizu 17 comes with 8GB of RAM and the Pro model has 12GB of RAM. Both models come in 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage choices.
The Flyme 8.1 based Android 10 OS runs on the Meizu 17 series and they are backed by 4500mAh battery. Both phones support 30W fast charging. The Pro model gets 27W wireless charging. The Meizu 17 series have 20MP front cameras. The vanilla model has 64MP + 12MP + 8MP + 5MP quad-camera system. The Meizu 17 Pro features 64MP + 8MP + 32MP + ToF lens quad cameras.
