It seems that Meizu is preparing to launch a new smartphone called Meizu 17 this month. Several live photos confirm that the upcoming Meizu 17 flagship will receive a design in the style of the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Based on the leaked image, the Meizu 17 has a very thin bezel. That is thanks to the use of an edge-to-edge screen design with a hole-punched selfie camera on the screen with a very small selfie camera size. Similar to Galaxy Note 10 but arranged in the top right corner instead of the center.
The back of the Meizu 17 also shows a simple design with a horizontal camera cluster. This is similar to the camera design of the Galaxy Note 9. This is a design that goes against the trend of designing vertical layout cameras in use. popular now on most Chinese smartphones.
Further analysis can be done at the frames, where on the right you can see the Power button. While on the left the two separate buttons for the volume. This represents another change from the past, with the Meizu 16T having both controls on the right side. The image also reveals that this phone will be equipped with support for dual SIM dual standby.
Hardware
It is expected that Meizu 17 will have an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and will run on the Snapdragon 865 chipset.
We have some bad news, however – 3C certification shows that the phone will use a 30W charger, not a 65W GaN. Below is also an estimated photograph of a 30W charger.
There is still talk about the Meizu 17 Pro (codenamed M2091, Meizu 17 – M2081). A more powerful, more efficient charger would be a good advantage for the Pro model, so there is still hope.
Price and Release Date
We already knew that the phone will be released in April. But now it seems that we have an exact date. In addition, a photo of a plastic, supposedly policeman, shield with the Meizu logo and the date “4.15” appeared on the network.
In such an unusual way, the manufacturer invites journalists to the presentation of the device. This was postponed from March 14 to April 15 due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. Meizu 17 8GB + 128GB version will sell for 3999 yuan ($563). However, the 8GB + 256GB 4299 yuan ($606), 12GB + 256GB 4699 yuan ($663) respectively.
