A few weeks ago, we had some information about Meizu‘s upcoming flagship, the Meizu 16S. Sources said the Meizu 16S will be powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8150 chip, which is no surprise since the previous Meizu 16 and 16 Plus was equipped with the Snapdragon 845.
Today, the Meizu 16S continues to leak important information about the design and the camera. According to a source from Weibo published by the GSMArena, the first rendered image of the Meizu 16S revealed, the smartphone will have a 6.4-inch screen with all four extremely thin edges.
In order to get the 4 slim bezels without sliding mechanism, the Meizu 16S will use the camera technology in the screen that we call “moles”, which is located in the left corner of the screen. Meizu is also embedded in the screen of the machine.
At the back of the camera, there are three cameras and a flash of Meizu’s flash. It is not known what this 3 camera will do, but more likely to be a conventional camera, a depth-of-field camera for image-clearing and a wide-angle camera. Previously leaked information indicates that the machine will have a USB-C port and retain the 3.5mm jack.
Well-informed sources predict that the price of the Meizu 16S will be around 3500 yuan (about $503), which is quite cheap compared to a strong configuration and high-end equipment. For comparison, Meizu 16 is priced at 2698 yuan ( Equal to $387) and Meizu 16 plus is 3198 yuan ($459). There is no release date, but almost certainly next year.
