Today, MediaTek officially announced that the new MediaTek 5G platform T830 was officially released, suitable for 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and mobile hotspot CPE equipment.
As a highly integrated system single chip, T830 adopts 4nm process technology and Arm Cortex-A55 quad-core CPU, equipped with M80 baseband, supports 3GPP R16 standard and Sub-6GHz full-band 5G network, and the 5G rate is up to 7Gbps.
It is reported that the M80 baseband supports 5G NSA/SA networking, supports FDD and TDD mixed mode 5G FR four-carrier aggregation, and 5G dual-card dual-standby function.
T830 has a built-in hardware-level MediaTek network acceleration engine and Wi-Fi network acceleration engine, which can provide gigabit-level throughput performance for 5G network transmission to Ethernet or Wi-Fi without increasing the CPU load. T830 also supports MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving technology to reduce 5G communication power consumption.
In terms of interfaces, the T830 supports three PCI-Express, USB 3.2, and two USXGMII interfaces with a rate of up to 10GbE, and supports RJ11 telephone lines through the PCM/SPI interface.
At the same time, it supports 3D Graphic and display drivers, and supports open source software such as RDK-B, prplOS, and OpenSync, and conforms to the operator’s open operating system framework specification.
